Kinder and Bond in fight for control of Missouri GOP

Senator Kit Bond (R-Wild Turkey) and Peter "Every Other Dollar Counts" Kinder are reportedly in a pitched fight for control of the Missouri Republican Party.
Some state house observers are wondering why Kinder would opposed Hanaway. After all, the two joined forces to try to spend taxpayer money on a new Cardinal's stadium.

I'd pick Kinder over Bond every day
I'm a moderate Independent who voted for every Dem on the national and state level (voted Repub locally because Dems are pretty rare in Franklin County) but I knew on Nov. 3 that Kinder would win.
Why? Because he knows how to play the game and keep the little people happy. I was doing an article on Kinder's baby, the Tour of Missouri, and I spent THREE HOURS going through race channels to get 2-3 photos of last year's race. No dice. I was so thoroughly disgusted (and I need photos--any photos that weren't overly pandering) I called the Lt. Governor's Office in late August and explained who I was, what I wanted, and could they help me. In TWO MINUTES I was on the phone with an underling who was giving me a URL for publicity photos for the race. TWO MINUTES. Even disregarding dozens of smiling Kinder photos I got a dozen images I could use, and this is after he supposedly disassociated himself from the TOM.
Even though I ended up not voting for him....I was IMPRESSED. If a politician can't get stuff done for the constituents, what use are they?
